THE BLAKE HOUSE MUSEUM is open on Saturdays from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Free tours are available.

“FROM SHEEP TO SWEATER” SEMINAR Elizabeth Newton will conduct an introductory seminar at the Amos J. Blake House Museum on June 17, 2006 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Adult students will be instructed on proper sheep breeding, buying fleece, wool preparation and more. This event may lead to a series of similar seminars, workshops, and other related activities. Cost is $20.00 for this seminar. To reserve your place please call 585-7742 or 585-9086.

The Annual STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL will be held on Saturday, June 24th, from 1 to 4 p.m., on the Fitzwilliam, N.H. Town Common. This event is well known for its luscious strawberries on homemade biscuits with real, freshly whipped cream. A glass of iced tea or lemonade is included. From 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. the steel drum band, Tropical Sensations, will play various selections. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Town Hall on Fitzwilliam’s Town Common. ANNUAL ANTIQUES SHOW & SALE will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006 on the Fitzwilliam, N.H. Town Common. This year will be the 31st in a series that has earned it the reputation of being one of New England’s premier outdoor antique shows. Set on the Common, under the trees and surrounded by the town’s historic buildings, more than 55 dealers, carefully selected for the quality and diversity of their offerings, will be selling their wares. Proceeds from the show benefit the Fitzwilliam Historical Society. More Information

THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE FITZWILLIAM HISTORICAL SOCIETY- The Annual Meeting of the Fitzwilliam Historical Society will be held in the upper town hall on Tuesday, August 15th. President Abraham Lincoln will be attending.
